Ms. Qu XiaoJuan (China)
from December 2016 to January 2017
from December 2016 to January 2017
I'm Qu XiaoJuan from China, which is one of disaster prone country in the world. I have been working for the Relief and Health Department of the Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) for 6 years, and the RCSC is an active practitioner in the field of disaster risk reduction. I have participated in the post-disaster recovery and capacity building programs of the RCSC in the last 6 years. As the team coordinator of RCSC International ERT, I was also deployed to the Nepal earthquake in 2015.
I'm honored to be the first visiting staff member to APDRC. It’s very important opportunity for me to make some contribution to APDRC and also learn more about disaster risk reduction and community resilience. I believe that APDRC will cover deeper, spread better and reach further with a significant role in reducing disaster risk and strengthening community resilience in the Asia Pacific and beyond.
